Saint Mary’s Huskies @ Acadia Axemen

In Game 1, Acadia beat SMU by a score of 3 to 2. The Acadia offense was not exactly on fire with only 3 hits as a group – one each from G Cullerton, Pat MacWilliam, and Jacobie Ford – but they were good enough to get it done. Jake MacKinnon went 7 complete for the Win, giving up 0 Earned Runs and 8 Hits while Walking 3, Striking Out 7, and throwing a total of 102 pitches. Acadia committed 1 Error in the game. For SMU, Larry Barton led the way for SMU with 2 Hits, a Walk, and both of the team’s RBI’s. Oscar Kozariz and Logan MacNeil chipped in with two hits each of their own. Starter Nolan Galloway threw 3 innings for the Win, giving up 2 Earned Runs and 5 Hits while Walking 2, Striking Out 3, and throwing a total of 77 pitches. STFX committed 4 Errors in the game. Dal had a pretty balanced offensive attack with Dylan Corsini and Ben Rittenberg having a hit, an RBI and 2 Run’s Scored each. Ben Widdecombe, Hunter Valcourt, Josh Hatfield chipping in with a Hit and an RBI each. Starter Rhys Scott took the Loss, giving up 4 Hits and 3 Earned Runs over 1 2/3 innings, while Walking 2, Striking Out 0, and throwing a total of 47 pitches. University of New Brunswick Reds @ St. Francis Xavier X-Men
